What we collect

Only what you type in. When you fill in a form on this site we collect your name, your phone number, your email address, your suburb, your business name if you give one and the kind of work you need, along with whatever you write in the message.

If you use the chat window, we collect what you type into it, including anything you volunteer about your job or your address.

Our web host also keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address and browser type. That happens on every website and it is what keeps the hosting running.

We do not collect sensitive information, we do not buy lists, and we have no interest in building a profile of you.

Why we collect it

To answer you, quote the work and do the job. That is the whole list.

We do not sell your details to anyone. We do not rent them, trade them, or hand them to marketers.

Who else sees it, and where they are

We use a small number of service providers to run this site. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

Netlify: hosts this website and stores your enquiry so we can read it back. Its servers are in the United States.

Resend: delivers the email that tells us you have been in touch. Its servers are in the United States.

Anthropic: runs the AI assistant in the chat window and processes what you type into it. Its servers are in the United States.

Because of that, information you send us is stored and processed in the United States as well as Australia. If you would rather not send details overseas, ring us instead of using the form.

Nobody else gets your details unless the law requires us to hand them over.

Decisions made about you

No computer decides anything about you here. Every quote, price and decision comes from a person reading what you sent.

The chat assistant answers questions and takes down your details. It does not price work, approve anything or make a decision that affects you. A person does that.

Cookies and tracking

This site runs no advertising trackers, no Google Analytics and no tag manager. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Fonts are served from this site rather than from Google, so loading a page does not tell Google you were here.

How long we keep it

We keep what you send as long as we are quoting or doing your work, and for seven years after the job if you become a customer, because tax law requires it.

Ask us to delete it earlier and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your details

Email sheehanelectrical@hotmail.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete it, and confirm when it is done. There is no charge and you do not need a reason.

We will get back to you within 30 days, and normally a lot sooner.

If you are not happy

Tell us first. Email sheehanelectrical@hotmail.com and we will look into it, and write back within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
